Dear EdgeConneX Community,
I want to reach out directly to our customers, partners and vendors given the rapidly developing situation related to the Coronavirus. First and foremost, our number one concern is your safety and the safety of our employees that serve and work with you. We have a robust business continuity plan in place that we actively have been implementing.
These are unprecedented times and the situation varies in each and every location we operate around the world. Nevertheless, our goal is to have a consistent response and plan in place regardless of location. A key element to that plan is communication and making sure we are clear about our policies; providing you with frequent updates about the status of our operations; and being responsive to any questions or concerns you may have about your business. As long as the lines of communication are open and active, then we can work together to overcome these challenging times and ensure that our businesses can continue with as little disruption as possible.
We also have created a cross-functional COVID-19 Response Team (CRT) that includes me along with individuals from our Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, Legal, HR and other Executive teams. Please contact us if you have any Coronavirus questions or concerns at: covidresponseteam@edgeconnex.com. If you would like to learn more about our Communicable Diseases Business Continuity Plan, please contact the CRT at the above listed email.
Since our inception, EdgeConneX has designed our data centers and created our proprietary DCIM, called EdgeOS, so that we may operate our facilities with limited or no staffing. In addition, EdgeOS allows your operations teams to remotely monitor your installations from any location. Frequent updates, alerts and communications relating to COVID-19 and your installations are shared through EdgeOS directly. As such, we ask that you limit your team’s in-person visits to our data centers to only essential personnel.
At EdgeConneX, we have taken a number of steps to help ensure the health and well-being of our own employees. That includes implementing a company-wide travel ban, a work from home policy, and other preventative measures related to hygiene and social distancing. We also have shared frequent updates from the leadership team via email and phone calls with general recommendations for our teams around the world that are consistent with those provided by the CDC and other local health and safety organizations.
Everyone is learning to navigate uncharted territory, which is likely to only get worse before it gets better. However, through these challenging times, the continued success of your business and the safety of our respective teams is our primary focus.
I am wishing you, your teams and your families a very safe and healthy next few weeks as we all work together through this crisis. Please contact me or any of my team with questions, concerns or insights on how you are navigating the current environment. Be well.
Sincerely,
Randy Brouckman
CEO
